"Going once, going twice, sold!"

This familiar phrase will be heard loud and clear as excited bidders lay claim to jewelry, tickets to sporting events, kitchenware, , artwork, restaurant vouchers, gift baskets, weekend get aways, spa gift certificates, golf packages, wine tours, and more at the Greater Fort Erie Chamber of Commerce's Gala Auction to be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Holiday Inn on Friday, Nov. 20.

"As the main fundraiser for the Chamber's bursary program, our annual auction doubles as a fun evening of entertainment and fundraising to ultimately help local high school students further their post-secondary education," said Karen Audet, Operations Manager of the Greater Fort Erie of Commerce. "We're hopeful the public will come out to support our efforts while walking away with some terrific buys for themselves or with some Christmas presents at auction prices!"

With a sleek new format including live auction and silent auction components, buyers are guaranteed an unique shopping experience with many generously donated items up for bid. The evening kicks off at 5:30 p.m. as ticket holders register and preview the auction items. Refreshments including beef on a bun and sweet potato fries, and assorted salads will be served at 6 p.m. with the live and silent auction event from 7-10 pm.

"Anyone whose previously attended our auction has remarked what a wonderful time they've had and what great deals they've walked away with --all in the name of helping the Chamber contribute back to the community's youth,” Audet said. “There will be something for everyone. Last year’s event was sold out, so get your tickets today so you don’t miss out on what we expect to be the best event yet."

Tickets are $20 and include admission to the event as well as a delicious array of refreshments. Cash bar will be available. Contact the Chamber office at (905) 871-3803 for more information or to purchase your ticket.
